The winners of the IRONMAN 70.3 Turkey, which was held at Antalya Belek Tourism Center, and was attended by nearly 2 thousand athletes from 84 countries, were Luca Facchinetti from Italy in men and Inna Tutukina from Russia in women.
Starting off with the swimming stage at the Kadriye Beach Park shore, the race continued with the cycling and running stages. Attracting great interest from local and foreign sports fans, the race ended at The Land of Legends located in at the Belek Tourism Center. In men’s category, the Italian athlete Luca Facchinetti took the 1st place with a time of 3 hours, 51 minutes and 4 seconds, Adam Lambrechts from Belgium took the 2nd place with a time of 3 hours, 55 minutes and 3 seconds, and Jesse Hinrich from Germany took the 3rd place with a time of 3 hours, 56 minutes and 15 seconds.
In women’s category, Russian athlete Inna Tutukina, who was also the last year’s champion, completed the course in 4 hours, 27 minutes and 29 seconds and took the 1st place. The Turkish athlete, Sera Sayaran completed the course in 2nd place followed by the Russian athlete with a time of 4 hours, 30 minutes and 3 seconds. Olena Zhusman from Ukraine came in the 3rd with 4 hours, 38 minutes and 44 seconds.
The awards were presented to the contestants by the Turkish Triathlon Federation President, Bayram Yalçınkaya and The Land of Legends CEO, Çetin Pehlivan.
