In golf tourism, an income of USD 90 million was generated during the half season of 2019 with an estimated income of USD 130 million. International Association of Golf Tour Operators (IAGTO) Turkey President Cahit Şahin said “There is a 40% increase compared to last season.” Last year’s tourist numbers beat a record in Antalya. In the city hosting 13 million 642 thousand foreign and more than 3 million domestic tourists, the 2019 target of “15 million foreign tourists” reached 16 million thanks to the interest shown in tourism fairs and the latest bookings. As the third most-visited city of last year welcoming tourists in the world after Paris and London, Antalya follows Portugal and Spain in golf tourism.
