Antalya Belek Golf Tourism Reaches 250 Million Dollars in Revenue

Golf tourism in Türkiye has emerged as one of the leading areas of high-income and quality tourism. Antalya Belek, known worldwide for its courses, generated approximately 250 million euros in revenue from golf tourism alone in 2025.

Speaking during the Golf Masters Tournament, Ali Şahin emphasized the strategic importance of golf tourism for Türkiye, noting that there are 17–18 courses in Belek and that the country’s capacity remains limited compared to European competitors.

Şahin stated that golf tourism extends the season throughout the year, with October to May being the peak period. He added that around 600,000 rounds of golf were played in Belek in 2025, corresponding to 13,000–15,000 golfers traveling to the region.

Pointing out that daily spending by golf tourists reaches 150–200 euros, Şahin said this makes golf tourism a high value-added sector. He also noted that current capacity is full and that new destinations such as Bodrum, Mersin and Adana should be developed.

Zafer Alkaya stated that Antalya hosted over 17 million tourists in 2025, with a target of 20 million. He added that Russia remains the top source market, while the Polish market is showing rapid growth.

Alkaya underlined that the UK market plays a key role in golf tourism, with 55 percent of golf tourists coming from England.
